2 Months old

Look how Brooke has changed!!!

Gosh! what can I say. . . life has been pretty crazy since our little "Brooky" arrived. I can't believe she's already 2 months old. We are all just absolutely in love with her. No red hair yet, but she's got somewhat of a temper and has her mommy pretty much wrapped around her little fingers. She's starting to develop the cheeks that Kendall was so well known for. We may have a look-a-like in the family. She's finally sleeping well at night; only waking up 2 times a night and goes down anywhere (I laugh) between 8:30 and 11:00 p.m. We're still trying to figure out how to get her to sleep for the night. She doesn't like her crib yet, so she spends her nights in her carseat that we put in her crib. She is a goer! She loves to sleep only when mommy and her sisters are out and about. She will usually sleep for a good 3-4 hours while we're out. Which is great, but mommy has things to do at home occassionally. She is starting to smile and coo a lot. The girls love to coo back and forth with her. Here is a little clip of her smiling and cooing.

For Thanksgiving we spent the afternoon and evening with Marc's family. This included a yummy dinner, lots of family and a gingerbread house decorating competition. Marc and I drew the short straw and got the kid's house. Boy that was an adventure. It was like building a house with cement icing and amature architecs. We got quite a bit of ridiculing, but the kids enjoyed themselves. We like to think we won the competition for our age division.

After Thanksgiving we drove to Idaho to visit some of my mom's family and a good friend of Marc's, Dave Hawes, and Janel,a college friend of mine from Taylor. It was great to catch up with friends and family and to get out of the Tri-Cities for a few days. On our way home we had to take the "scenic" route, of course. We went and visited where I grew up in Idaho and then went home through Tollgate to take the girls for a hike. It was a gorgeous day for a drive and a hike. The girls were great travelers and Brooke pretty much slept the whole trip to and from Idaho. Plus, an added bonus, she slept through the night both nights in the hotel. WHAT A GOOD BABY!

Now were just trying to get ready for Christmas. I'm really hoping to get cards out this year, but at this point I'm pretty lucky to stay on top of the day to day duties around our house. We did get our Christmas purchased and decorated, thanks to my girls. Yes, they decorated the whole thing. With a little help from daddy. They really wanted outside lights this year, but they decided as long as we had a tree it would be okay if we didn't do lights this year. Phew, daddy's off the hook! Marc went fishing with our denist, Dr. Han this past Sunday and Monday and caught some amazing trout. They are huge and taste almost better than salmon. GREAT JOB Marc!!
